Matt Shearer has been a professional photographer for over 12 years and has a very distinctive style of photographing weddings.

Matts experience at weddings plus his clever combination of camera and image processing techniques certainly earns him respect from his peers and clients alike.

“I love it, sometimes I feel so guilty because it seems I don’t have to work for a living. It’s not about the money and I have never really been one to “hard sell” anyone. The way I look at it, if I do my job to the best of my ability the clients will be happy and that’s when I’m happy.

You only need to look into Matts work and you can see the happiness he is referring to."

I love the excitement of a wedding day and creating images that capture the love, happiness and emotion that is present in an un staged manner. Your wedding day is perhaps the most important and memorable day of your life. Your photographic coverage of this day should reflect the uniqueness and beauty that makes the celebration yours.

I would say the best way to describe our wedding photography would be "freestyle", we don’t push people around, have them posing all day for the camera or smiling until their face hurts (although it might get sore from laughing). Our style is a blend of classic, candid, photo journalism, and fun stuff that brides and grooms really like. We do usually do a short photo session with just the bridal party which is more directed than posed and is always lots of fun. Typically we would take anywhere between 600 and 800 images on a 4-5 hour coverage.

After 12 years of wedding photography we realize that no two couples are the same therefore coverage’s can be tailored to your individual needs. Our aim is to create the coverage that suits you and results in a unique collection of images that truly documents your day. More often than not the packages we offer are adjusted one way or another.

Two Approaches
Hot Shotz offers two types of coverage's, both with options. The “Digital Files Coverage” caters for the technologically advanced or budget conscious couple while the “Album Coverage” caters for those who desire one of our beautifully crafted magazine style albums.

Preview Systems
Preview Prints:   10x15cm preview prints in a presentation box or album .
Image Catalogue:   20x30cm or 25x35cm (your choice) spiral bound image catalogue with custom designed cover
DVD4TV:   All your wedding portraits as a dynamic multimedia show with music (your choice or ours) on DVD to play on your television or home computer. An elegant addition to your wedding album, modern and portable, beautifully packaged and a lovely way to share the memories with friends and family.

Album Style
The general appearance and style of our albums resembles a book rather than a photo album. Unique in the sense that we have also add graphic art and text into your pages. This is time consuming however well worthwhile as it personalises your albums and tells the complete story.
Besides the potential for creativity and personalisation, the most obvious benefit for this type of album is the ability to include so many of your images into your wedding album economically and still keep your album a manageable size.

We produce an enormous amount of images on your wedding day, many of which are not utilised in traditional style albums due to space and expense. We also find the use of traditional albums stops the creative process half way. We work with you when choosing the pictures to be included and everybody will be amazed when they see your album.

Gift Vouchers
Add our Gift Certificates to your Bridal Registry Wish List. Your friends and family may purchase gift certificates as wedding presents for you. These can be redeemed as additional pages in your album, to order extra, albums, enlargements for the wall, small prints, DVD’s or retouching.

Important Note:
All of our product are printed onto archival quality photographic (silver halide technology) paper. We realize that wedding photography is about recording your day so you have a memory for many years to come, therefore we refuse to use laser, die sublimation or inkjet printers. We will only ever offer the very best quality available for your memories.

Please call or email us for pricing and availability, we will also include some extra information to help you make the right decision when it comes to choosing a wedding photographer and if film or digital is better for wedding photography.
